Detailed Step-by-Step Instructions

Choose the appropriate registration card at the top of the form based on your role:
  • Self Registration: For veterans inputting their own profile.
  • Another Veteran: For inputting profile on behalf of a veteran without digital access.
  • Family Pensioner: For direct pensioners/widows receiving central/state military pensions.
  • Widow / Dependent: Specifically for spouses, widows, and direct dependents of ex-servicemen.
  • Volunteer Registration: For active ex-servicemen joining as verifiers to check and register other veterans.

Provide the basic demographic details in Section 1:
  • Mobile Number: A unique 10-digit number. Duplication checks are executed in real-time.
  • Full Name: Enter your name matching military records.
  • Father / Husband Name, DOB, Gender, and Email.
  • PAN Card & Photograph: 10-digit PAN details and passport photograph upload (Max 10MB, JPG/PNG).

Aadhaar integration ensures secure user records:
  • Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number (validated using Verhoeff checksum algorithm).
  • Click the Verify button. This opens the DigiLocker consent flow.
  • Authenticate using the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-registered mobile (use mock code `123456` for local sandbox testing).
  • Upon validation, verified details (Name, DOB, Gender, Address) will auto-populate your form, reducing manual entry errors.
  • Note: Aadhaar verification is mandatory for volunteer onboarding.

Input your current residential details in Section 2:
  • Door Number, Street/Locality, and Village/Town.
  • Taluk (Subdivision) and State.
  • District: Select from the dropdown of Tamil Nadu's 38 official districts.
  • 6-digit Pincode.

Provide official military statistics in Section 3 & 4:
  • Service Branch: Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, or Territorial Army.
  • Rank: Choose your retired rank (this dropdown activates dynamically based on the service branch).
  • Service Number: Enter your official military ID number.
  • Trade, Enrolment/Discharge Years, and Unit/Regiment.
  • PPO Number & Pension Type: Specify the PPO number and type (e.g. Service/Family/Disability) if applicable.

Final steps to secure and finish your entry:
  • Create Password: Input a secure password. You will use your mobile number and this password to log in later.
  • Volunteer Documents: For volunteers, upload a scanned copy of your Service ID Card (mandatory). Optional uploads include Aadhaar Card and PAN Card (PDF/PNG/JPG up to 10MB).
  • Click **Submit Registration** to save.
Security & Privacy

Our portal ensures state-of-the-art protection of identity records. Aadhaar details are never stored in plain text; they are protected at rest using symmetric **AES-256-CBC** encryption. Only masked representations (`XXXX-XXXX-1234`) are displayed on screen.

Volunteer Status

Registered volunteers are held in a **Pending** status until portal administrators verify the uploaded Service ID Card. Once approved, volunteers gain access to search, input profiles on behalf of offline veterans, and perform verification audits.
